FRS Partners with The National Student Clearinghouse, Builds Integrated Solution for Educational Degree Verification
FRS, powered by Imagination Technologies, today announced that it has partnered with The National Student Clearinghouse to create an integrated technology platform that streamlines education and degree verification searches for The Clearinghouse's online users. This integrated platform will help The Clearinghouse clients - in need of educational verification for background screening - to continue to access the information they need online, but in a more efficient manner at a reduced overall cost.
"Partnering with The National Student Clearinghouse proved to be a very natural fit," said Philip Chapman, president of FRS. "Integrating our two systems enables clients of The Clearinghouse to obtain comprehensive, cost-effective verifications without sacrificing value or service. Providing integrations to the services that our clients need most is top priority to FRS. We are excited to complete this integration with such a reputable organization that truly has its customers' best interests at heart."
This seamless integration is built directly into the FRS suite of background screening products to make it extremely simple for the clients of FRS to order their education verification searches from the colleges and universities whose records are represented by The National Student Clearinghouse. With features to automatically identify and retrieve the appropriate records from The National Student Clearinghouse, this new integration provides a huge savings in terms of labor and time, which in turn drastically reduces the turnaround time for processing these verifications.
About The National Student Clearinghouse
The National Student Clearinghouse (a non-profit formed in 1993) is the unique and trusted source for higher education enrollment and degree verifications. The Clearinghouse serves as a single point of contact for the collection and timely exchange of accurate and comprehensive enrollment, degree and certificate records on behalf of its more than 3,300 participating higher education institutions, which represent over 92% of the national enrollment.
Through its verification and reporting services, the Clearinghouse saves higher education institutions cumulatively nearly four hundred million dollars annually. Most Clearinghouse services are provided to colleges and universities at little or no charge, including enhanced transcript and research services, enabling institutions to redistribute limited staff and budget resources to more important student service efforts. All Clearinghouse services are operated in full compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
In addition, the Clearinghouse provides accurate FERPA compliant verifications to student loan providers, employers, student credit issuers, the U.S. Department of Education, and others who access its registry more than 100 million times annually.
