An applicant tried to follow the URL that was emailed to them via the Applicant Management Center (AMC). When they did this, they received an error message stating: “Candidate ID Not Found.” Why did that happen and what can be done to resolve this problem?
The “Candidate ID” the AMC is looking for is a long string of characters at the end of the URL that each Candidate is emailed. This information is used to identify each Subject separately.
Sometimes, if an applicant clicks the link that is emailed to them, the email software they may use (Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird … ) will not capture the entire Candidate ID. To resolve this, have the applicant simply Copy and Paste the Entire URL from the Email into their Browser; it should bring up the Application as usual.
Another situation an applicant may run into involves them trying to cut and paste their solicited link from an email rather than just clicking on it. In this case, if they don’t copy the entire string and lop off some of the 40 characters of the Candidate ID from that string, then the system won’t recognize it and they may be redirected to a page at the AMC that says: “Enter your Candidate ID or Access Code.” In this scenario, the applicant needs to double check and make sure that they are copying the entire link sent in their email.
